Colca Tour from Arequipa to Puno 02 Days
It starts in Arequipa at 8:00am and ends the next day in Puno at 7:30pm.
Tour to the Colca Canyon in 02 days starting in the city of Arequipa and continuing to the city of Puno aboard a Tourist Bus that includes visits to sites of tourist interest.
The first day’s tour includes a trip from Arequipa to Chivay, making visits along the way to places of scenic interest and the next day continuing the visit to the Colca Canyon, the Condors viewpoint, towns on the route and in the afternoon continuing the trip to the city of Puno-Lake Titicaca, arriving at approximately 7:30pm.
ITINERARY
Day 01: Trip from Arequipa to Chivay
8:00 am. Pick up from your Hotel in Arequipa to begin the trip by tourist bus to the Colca Canyon located northeast of the city of Arequipa, on the way we cross scenarios of scenic interest until we reach the Pampas Cañahuas Reserve where you can see groups of Vicuñas and Alpacas. Then we will continue ascending to Patapampa – Mirador de los Volcanes, located at 4850 meters above sea level. Here we make a stop to appreciate the landscape that this natural viewpoint offers us. Then we continue our trip to the town of Chivay where we will settle in the selected Hotel within the Chivay area.
Free afternoon and opportunity to visit the thermal baths, a place surrounded by mountains and sulfurous hot springs that flow from the interior of the mountain. Bring bath linen and towels.
At night we have the opportunity to participate in a dinner accompanied by a Folkloric group.
Day 02: Tour to the Colca Canyon – Cruz del Cóndor – Puno
Early after breakfast at 6:30 am, travel to the natural viewpoint known as La Cruz del Cóndor. During the tour we will appreciate spectacular views of the Colca River, the hanging tombs from the pre-Columbian era, and agricultural terraces that are more than a thousand years old. Then we will arrive at the famous Cruz del Cóndor, where we will have free time to admire the natural beauty of the Colca Valley and observe the flight of the Condors. Later we will begin our return trip, making stops in some typical towns along the route.
1:00pm We board the Tourist Bus from Chivay to Puno with stops along the route in Patapampa, volcano viewpoint, Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, habitat of species such as the Llama, Alpaca, Guanaco and especially the Vicuña, Lagunillas viewpoint. Then continue the trip to the city of Puno (arrival at Plaza in Puno at 7:30 pm.)
